Movie ReviewsSadly, the Kino edition has poor image quality as well Philip Smith, Bookseller | Berkeley, California | 04/03/2010 (2 out of 5 stars) "I rented the Kino version on the strength of a specific recommendation here, but it gave up watching after the first 15 minutes on account of the poor picture quality. It certainly does not look like a "35mm nitrate print" to these eyes--the visuals are muddy and the contrast is off, spoiling the visual detail. It could be from an old 16mm print, or else maybe a duplicated 35mm print, but it is certainly not a clear record of an original fine-grain release print, by any means. I will await a future restoration. For the present, Caveat emptor."
