Movie Reviews

Interesting and WTF?

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I enjoyed this movie. It was shocking, and I'm left feeling/wondering what the heck just happened. Seems like some woman, unhappy, turned to some dude, unavailable (gay) and offered him money when she really needed a friend. He seemed like a guy who perhaps unbeknownst to himself was actually looking for a bit more than just sex, money or that sort of shallow stuff. (why else would he entangle himself with a suicide)

He did come to care about her, but instead of refusing the money he kept it, consequently really or practically killing her. In the midst of all this was the two of them behaving very strangely towards each other, doing icky things, perhaps they were trying to creep each other out? Or express something that was beyond them and could only be said symbolically. After all that weird symbolic sex and vulnerability, needing and opening up to each other, I believe they did care and need each other, which was sweet, but it could not work as they were both too conditioned by this world and too caught up in their role playing to really admit normally openly and verbally that they needed each other. They were caught in the game. The game was hell.

I loved this movie. I will remember the characters and the feeling it gave me. I might just look up the directors other movies. And Rocco rocks. The actress was lovely also, both striking, and memorable. Thanks!"
