After an interesting train ride, we start a 2 day hike at the middle of the Inca trail, in this case a trail connecting Cusco to Machu Picchu and ascend first to Huinay Huayna, another old Inca city located in the jungle.We continued the next day starting the hike before dawn in order to reach at the sunrise the Sun Gate from where we have the first gasping view over the lost city of the Incas. Descending, we explore all the quarters of the city, talking about its temples, architecture, religion, trade and science. We finish with a hike up to Huayna Picchu from where we can have a splendid view over the entire city.« less
