A great premise that almost works, a few great moments, and an amazing credits ending...

Sure, a lot of this film is edited NASA footage. Sure, it's not the greatest sci fi film ever. But... there are enough interesting premises and surprises to make it really watchable.

See, there were only 17 Apollo missions. "Apollo 18" is a Department of Defense mission because something is on the moon. So we have to go there to see what. The question is answered sort of, maybe twice, and probably not in a way you would have guessed. I'm not giving it away, but there's enough suspense to make it worth watching and a kind of twist at the end.

And...

Amazingly, the credits and their associated music at the end are really great. The version of the Christmas Carol "We Three Kings" is really well done. It's even available as a single on I-Tunes.

If you like Sci-fi with a twist this is exactly the film for you. The entire time I was watching it I was on the edge of me seat. This very definitely one of those overlooked releases that turned out much better than what movie goers thought. The ending is a surprise and it leaves you thinking about what you've just watched. Out of five stars I would give it 4.5

It is a good movie to get a conversation started about the possibility of ......... Are they really out there?
