"I was always a fan of MURDER SHE WROTE, trying to outguess the hero in discovering who the murderer was. You'll find the same kind of mindless enjoyment in this adaptation of Mary Higgins Clark's novel. Sean Young plays an aspiring congresswoman whose selfish architect husband (Christopher Shyer) objects to her returning to the political scene. Her father is a congressman (Lloyd Bochner), so it seems natural to follow in his footsteps. But then hubby's boat explodes and Young is left a widower, but someone's trying to kill her! Peter Deluise is the chunky detective who tries to get to the bottom of the crimes. You won't have a whole lot of trouble figuring out the outcome, but it's fun and well performed."
