""Big Bow Wow"

Irish and Controversial

Amos Lassen

Coming on April 29 from Alluvial Filmworks is "Big Bow Wow" a controversial Irish drama. It is contemporary as it follows the professional and personal lives of six friends aged twenty something. They are hip Dubliners who work or study in the happening town. "Big Bow Wow" is a dance club where one of the characters is the resident disc jockey and the others gather to see out the day. The characters are like a family. They all live close to each other; they argue, play together and take care of each other.
What is so good about this drama is that everything is out in the open and the episodes are heartwarming, sincere, funny, gripping and real.
The characters include Eric (Chris McQuarry), who comes back to Ireland from England, comes out of the closet and is dealing with the consequences of too much partying. He and other characters push the boundaries, especially on a show made for Irish television.
I predict that this DVD will take gay America by storm and we will be anxious to see future seasons of "Big Bow
