Movie Reviews

Excellent anime feature if fairly short!

"

Saya is a warrior who happens to be the last remaining vampire of her kind as she has lived for a thousand years trapped in the body of a lovely 17 year old. She now works for the government of the US to travel around the world hunting down various vampires, demons, goblins and monsters as she is in Tokyo posing as a school student at a U.S. military base. An upcoming Halloween party is gonna be helm at the high school of the base, but it seems three blood-sucking vampire-like demons are planning to attack everyone to drain them of their insides for only Saya (codenamed Blood) must stop them.

Awesome if kind of short Japanese animated horror action movie is one of the best anime movies in recent memory. The story is quite good along with it's twists and turns even near the end but the animation with 3D effects and character designs are just marvelous, Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in The Shell) serves as producer for this movie. There is non-stop gory action abound here to keep anime and vampire fanatics happy, i believe it serves as a perfect theatrical pilot for the awesome animated TV spin-off of the same name called "Blood+".

This Blu-Ray offers sharp picture in high defintion quality plus terrific sound with extras like an alternative digital data version of the film, behind the scenes feature and trailer."
