Movie Reviews

Durango Kid rides again!
B. Cathey | Wendell, NC United States | 04/15/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Another fine release in the old Columbia studios Durango Kid series, with Smiley Burnette as the inimitable side-kick. This little "B" western entertains royally, with enough shoot-outs and Smiley-humor, as anyone who knows and loves Durango and Smiley can attest. For those who don't know the Durango Kid, give it a try---once you're hooked, the pleasure is contagious!"
Great Memories

"I now have the two "Durango Kid" movies available on Amazon---both very valuable to my collection of Classics----some of those western movies from the early 50's are great to have-----very enjoyable to watch----the re-touching of the prints is first-rate----there should be more of Starrett's films out---Allan "Rocky" Lane is another----how about Rex Allen?"
Saturday afternoon at the movies

"The Durango Kid series is among the best of the cowboy movies from the 1950s. Fifty + years later, it is still a great movie to sink back with your favorite popcorn and be transported to a time when the bad guys ALWAYS lost and the good guys ALWAYS won."
