Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Band Camp's Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Bone's David Boreanaz and others shine bright in this must see vampire slayer series!

Did anyone notice the "goof" made by the DVD publisher on the first batch releases of this set ... a sticker on the box stating "All 24 Season 1 Episodes". I still have mine in mint condition, doubt it will ever be worth anything other than a "oh, look at that". Obviously, I'm a fan so all I can say is wonderful series.

I actually was late in getting into this series. I had never watched a show of Buffy until after it had ended its run on TV. I just could not imagine how a show called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" could possibly be any good plus I hated the movie that preceded. I could not have been more wrong. Highly recommend this series.
This is the weakest season out of the entire Buffy series. Season 1 is still fun to watch but lacks the depth that is added to future seasons. Luckily, the season 2 that follows is one of the best seasons of the series. Season 1 is a shorter season than the ones that follow as well. Even with this weaker season...it is still contains the witty banter that exists throughout the series and is highly enjoyable...as well as an introduction of the main characters. One of the things that made this show great was getting to watch the evolution of each character through the later seasons. Buffy, Willow, Xander each become more grown up and powerful in their own ways as each season passes. Each imperfect but each selfless in their quest to fight the big baddies.

Love, Love, Love this show! I've watched all 7 seasons at least 10 times. The first 2 seasons are campy and fun, it starts to get more serious (and believable, as much as vampires can be.) by the third season. My favorite seasons are 3,5-7. I'm glad I own this whole series, because whenever I get a Buffy craving, (every other month or so) I can just pop one in.

THE START OF THE FAILURE

"Its a proven fact that Buffy was canceled twice. The question always asked is how did it last so long before cancellation. The answer is simple. It was on networks that had nothing else to put on> Otherwise this 1st season would have been its last as well. The show was miserable especially the 1st season. And it went down hill afterwards till its eventual and understandable cancellation. You cant get around how bad it really is."

"Great show, terrible quality on this DVD. Don't buy the slim set. Get another version of this season. The picture quality is so terrible, it's distracting. What a dissapointment."
