""Bump: Western America"

Go West

Amos Lassen

"Bump" is back with several new DVDs and we are off on a GLBT world tour without having to pack or leave home. Of course, it is not as much fun as the real thing but it sure is a lot cheaper.
Heading west we hit Denver. Telluride and Santa Fe. Shannon McDonnough is our hostess in Denver. As we know, Denver is the mile high city but what we may not know is that Denver has a vibrant gay community. The city even has an unofficial gay mayor who greets us before we take in the sights in an adventure on bikes. Then we visit gay Denver's watering holes and drink ourselves to the tour. Finally we meet Nuclia Waste, the Princess of Plutonium.
We are off to meet Charlie David in Telluride for the annual Gay Ski Week which means spending time in a ski lodge. The slopes shine with snow and there are plenty of friendly skiers about.
There are also wonderful hot tubs, great food and parties all over the town.
Our itinerary also says Santa Fe so we are off to New Mexico (which sounds exotic to me as I live in Arkansas). Santa Fe is the ideal place for rejuvenation and is also well known for its arts and culture. But first we must pamper our bodies and souls and what could be better than a Japanese health spa followed by a native healing ritual. Then we hit the art galleries and the bars (of course) and end our western adventure by visiting some of the historic bed and breakfasts of Santa Fe.
