Movie Reviews

Two words: JOHAN LANGQUIST

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Just to see Johan Langquist, the singer who Candlemass should have always had, perform with them is worth any amount of money, but his appearance here is just the icing on the DOOM cake as far as this great dvd goes. It's an awesome gig featuring singers from throughout the band's career, some guest vocalists, and the grand entrance of new singer Robert Lowe. Messiah Marcolin's absence here is not even noticable amongst all the wonderful talent on display as far as I'm concerned, as I feel he was the weakest singer they ever had, technically speaking, and I never took a liking to him and his clownish performance though he is mysteriously popular with many of the fans.
The sound is quite good, considering all the recording problems they had, as mentioned on their website. A primary recording device didn't work, as well as a main camera, yet the end result has been salvaged quite well and only the most hard-to-please person would complain.
The extra features are fantastic, with an hour long interview section featuring most of the players in the show plus some cameo appearances, and also a soundcheck section."
