I lived for several years in Perkins' hometown of Jackson, TN. As I got to know more about Mr. Perkins I realized a depth of musical material that most people are not aware of. Other than his signature song, "Blue Suede Shoes," he is often overlooked when it comes to his impact on music. Since moving from Jackson, I have found that the people that know of Mr. Perkins are fanatical about him. With that said, this DVD is a good introduction to the man. The only draw back is that it is too short! Get this DVD to meet the man, then get the "Carl Perkins and Friends" DVD to hear his music."
