This film continues Creepshow the comic's weonderful weaving of horror and black humor. I love this film, it's scary, it's campy and it's funny in places. "Where's my cake,Delia!!?!" It should also be noted that the "Lonely Death of Jordy Verill" features author Stephen King in his first (and quite funny) acting role.

Really good transfer onto Blu-Ray
T. Scarillo | Studio City, CA | 05/16/2010
(4 out of 5 stars)

""Creepshow" is a tribute to the old EC comics of the 1950's - there are five stories running almost two hours in total, of weird/macabre and sometimes funny subjects - they really capture the spirit of the EC comics as well as campy slasher films. There is a lot of star power here - Ted Danson, Ed Harris (both relatively early in their careers), EG Marshall, Stephen King himself, Leslie Nielsen, Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, among others, and the movie is as much fun now that i'm 40 as it was when i was 12 (when it came out). Blu-ray transfer is surprisingly crisp (about as good as this film will probably look); the only real artifacts/flaws i noticed were in the scenes that combine live action with comic book 'borders', but overall, i thought it was a very good transfer. No extras other than the trailer, which is kinda disappointing, but the disc is pretty affordable and if you haven't seen the film, it's a minor gem (campy makeup & special effects notwithstanding)."
Best Anthology Movie.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Creepshow is one the greatest Horror Anthology Movies ever made. A Horror Movie with Stephen King, George A. Romero, and Tom Savini, is a horror fans all time dream. 5 Stories all rolled into one flick that happens to be a tribute to all the horror comics of their youth. All five stories are amazing and definitely act like a live action comic book. The kid with the voodoo doll is just a book end, that is telling the viewer that their are more on the way. I was told to stay away from the sequels because their are three stories made in each one instead of five or more. Stay away from the sequels and stick with the first."
"80's Horror Classic!"

"Leslie Nielsen, Hal Holbrook and more star in George Romero's
1982 horror anthology film featuring 4 creepy tales. I love
this film and it needs a special edition because this dvd
has good picture and sound, but only a trailer. I highly
recommend this 80's horror classic."
