Movie Reviews

Classic to neo-classic live shows
shane | philly | 04/30/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"the first set is a early show of exodus at dynamo good live set with unrecorded songs for the kirk hammet era of exodus.yes thrash before metallica.great set nothing special just a good set.part two is my favorite the old classic song 12 years latter with most of the original band still thrashin the old school song at dynamo again but now with better sound and gear.well worth the money 85-97 is a great find and excellent buy."
Could have been a 5 star DVD

(3 out of 5 stars)

"Excellent in all regards except perhaps the most crucial; the sound quality. It's priceless footage of these masters of Thrash with the late, great, Paul Baloff, playing their best songs. A must for any fan of Thrash metal. The only unfortunate thing is the quality of the audio otherwise it would be a 5 star DVD. Concert footage of bands from the 80's is hard to come by (much less decent one) and so this double DVD is a welcomed addition to the selection pool even with it's shortcomings. The liner notes tell you upfront, "we are releasing these shows warts and all" and in the end I'm glad they did because this type of material belongs in the hands of the fans! Thank you EXODUS."
