Movie Reviews

Two great stories served Veggie Style!
V. C. Beam | Orange County, CA | 07/07/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"They did it again! Here's another Veggie Tales destinated to be a classic! The whole thing is hilarious from beginning to end. The first story is an interesting take on Miriam and the baby Moses. This version addresses how Miriam overcomes her initial jealousy and resentment at the new baby in the house and learns to love her new baby brother. All the characters are great. I got a kick out of the princess who rescues Moses from the water, but I won't give it away. We then take a break as Larry attempts to sing the blues. He gets some expert coaching from Blind Lincoln Lemon, but to no avail. Larry is just too happy to sing the blues. Finally, the main feature at the end is about Duke and the Great Pie War. This is a veggie version of the story of Ruth. I loved the new character Sweet Petunia who plays Ruth. The humor reminded me of a Christian kid's version of Monty Python. Very off the wall in the best Veggie Tales tradition. My toddlers loved this DVD, but I think I enjoyed it more than they did!"
