"Ive seen a lot of very poor Pink Floyd films over the years but this quite extraordinary 2 DVD set is surely the best out there. It does, as it suggests in the title, only take the story up to the recording of Meddle - ie before the Floyd became the enormous global success Dark Side assured, but the entire Barrett era is looked at in depth and the post-Syd pre-Dark Side stage [a kind of 'between the wars' era for Floyd]is treated here in such a way as to make this creative dawn a subject all of its own and one that can only fasinate even those who think that PF started and ended with Barrett or, conversely, began with the opening bars of DSOTM and ended with The Wall or something dubious thereafter [yes you guesed it, The Wall ended it all for me].
Agree or disagree, go watch this film and get enlightened all over again."
