Movie Reviews

Janie's Got a Gun
K. Cannon | 05/03/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This movie is fantasmic. This is a must see with the family and friends. Not only does it portray revenge in its most raw form, but its genderbending overtones will make each viewer question what it would be like to delve through to the other side. Haven't we all felt like we were trapped in the wrong body at some point in our lives?
Also, that Peggy Black, aka Jane Braugh, is the hottest thing in a cop suit since Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop II. What a woman. She is destined to hit it big. Ms. Braugh - I have one thing to say - oscars here you come!!!!!"
Big Film Texas Style

"An other great one from Francine Rzeznik and crew. Lets take a look at this gem to understand
what makes this film so good.Texas and witchcraft. A small town, sexy undercurrents and revenge. Cheating jocks and a
gender bending cop. Query - what more could one ask for? Answer - nothing. This film is the
perfect mixture of deception and silliness. The juxtaposition of the supernatural and humanity. The big surprise of this film is Jane Braugh. Her performance is, lets just say, terrific. The only
cop I liked better was Stallone in Cop Land.

In a nutshell, this is a fun teen comedy. I'd tell you more, but I don't want to spoil the fun. So grab
some popcorn and your honey and have some fun."
Just loved it so much!!!

"I loved this movie, a must see. I thought it was appropriate for my children and would recommend it to any and all of my friends. Guilford Adams is so funny and I hope to find some more movies that he stars in. He is just the best. Some of us, here in Texas, think he is such a cutie that we are tempted to start up a fan club! This movie is really one you could see time and time again in that it has a good story and is easy to follow. I am so pleased with my DVD- happy viewing!"
Great low-budget cult/comedy movie
K. Cannon | USA | 08/04/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Don't be fooled, this is no horror movie and doesn't really claim to be. It's a comedy at heart, much in the vein of the 80's comedy "Teen Witch" with a funny, original, and unique plot. Destined to become a cult classic to those in the know. This DVD edition displays the film in a Widescreen presentation with Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo sound. It also features the movie trailer, director's introduction to the movie, Guilford Adams audition footage, and a full-length director's audio commentary. The video and audio on the DVD are excellent, I made a wise purchase by buying this to upgrade from the old VHS tape!"
