A must see for the believers and definitely for the non-believers. Based on actual events, Laura Linney, Tom Wilkinson, Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter's sister) and others shine in this!

The acting was good but truthfully that is the only positive trait for this film. The story line was all over the place. it seemed to me the producers, while filming, realized how expensive it was going to be to make a really good film. This is one of those rare films where adding time and a few bucks to the budget would have made a much better film. I give it 1 1/2 out of five.

I didn't know what to expect from this movie because I really hadn't heard alot about it. Supposedly it is based on a true story. It was a little slow at the begining, but it did get going after awhile. I thought it would be something like the exorcist, but I was wrong. The plot is alittle the same, and some of the characters are as well. I have to admit I really did get scared toward the end. The characters are endouring, and the movie itself was pretty good. I give it 3-stars. I would definitely want to see it again. And I do have it in my horror dvd collection.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I don't scare easily. When I was thirteen, I would walk to the video store right after it got dark and I would rent a few scary movies. Then, I would go into my bedroom, turn off the lights and watch them by myself. For the most part, my imagination can conjure up scarier things than anyone has put in movie or book. I must admit though that The Exorcism of Emily Rosefreaked the crap out of me! I know that part of that is because it is a true story. I know that demons can possess a person and to me that is the scariest thing that could ever happen to someone. If you watch this movie, I hope you are prepared to be terrified."
