Not quite a sweeping epic, but still right up there. Ron Howard made this movie, because his immigrant family came over and won a stake of land in the Oklahoma land rush, which is one of the great scenes to watch in the movie. Beginning in Ireland, Cruise and Kidman are antagonists and end up heading off to America together. A fairly predictable plot, but not without it's charms and excitement. I liked that it gave me a clearer picture of immigrants and what they faced in the early days in America. I'd recommend it.

Dramatic, with lush scenery. Lots of chemistry between Kidman and Cruise!
