This a good movie that is only hindered by a few scenes that drag on too long. After a Nazi is found dead in the village, the Nazis want the 10 top officials of the village to be executed at 5:00 AM the next morning if the killer doesn't come forward. The officials try to convince the village "fool" to take the blame, but later events show who the real fools are.
