What a wonderful, heartwarming story of an elderly that wanted desperately to learn to read. This was a National Geographic special.

Synopsis: In a small, remote mountain-top primary school in the Kenyan bush, hundreds of children are eager for the chance for free education. It's on a lottery basis, so not everyone gets in. One determined applicant is in his 80s. Moved by his passion, the head teacher supports his struggle to gain admission and together they face fierce opposition from the parents and officials who don't want to waste a precious school seat on such an old man.

Through his journey, we are taken back to the shocking untold story of British colonial rule 50 years earlier.
