William Dafoe was the only actor that I recognized in this and I thought he played it well. It was pretty difficult to watch this movie since there was so much Florida pond scum in it where adults or children and I'm certain it was based on true events by scammers. This was not only a look from a kids eyes but a lost teenager/adults eyes as well. Pretty gritty so this is not for every and I can tell you that I would not own or ever watch this again since it brings to life a part of society that exists that everyone wishes would changes but probably never will.

Six-year-old Moonee and her mother Halley live in a tourist hotel on the outskirts of Walt Disney World. While Moonee spends her days getting into mischief with her friends Scooty and Jancey, Halley struggles to meet the weekly rent by selling knock-off perfumes to tourists in the parking lots of nearby hotels by day and turning the occasional trick at night while Moonee plays in the bathtub, oblivious to what’s going on outside the bathroom door. The Florida Project could have easily been played for cheap melodrama, but Brooklynn Prince as Moonee and especially Willem Dafoe as the motel manager Bobby keep the film from becoming unremittingly grim. It’s an interesting look at the all-too real phenomenon of families that are one step away from living on the streets. While the film is entertaining and well worth watching, it just misses the mark of being a great film. It’s gotten nearly unanimous praise from critics, but I found it to be overlong and a little too loosely structured. Still, it’s definitely worth seeing, but many viewers may find the film’s lack of a more concrete ending somewhat frustrating.
