Movie Reviews

Nice Concise Story.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Freedom on DVD was a great view. I especially enjoyed the character design by Katsuhiro Otomo. It is hard to believe that this anime came from a noodle commercial. Nice and Concise, the story is contained on two volumes.
I believe that this is awesome as a DVD so I can only imagine the BLUE RAY disc, but at 40 dollars for two dvds, versus 100 dollars for the BLUE RAY 6 disc set, I was satisfied with the DVD.
My only complaint is that with Bandai you get nothing extra like a book, pictures or a DVD picture menu insert. You literally get the DVD which is okay because that is ultimately what you are buying, BUT in anime, cute little extras sell the product. This anime has not been promoted to the younger anime fans so I doubt many will purchase this but it is excellent. I wish it had been released in a box set or just as a collectors set. I don't know why it had to be split into two volumes.
Purchase this if you are 1. an anime fan 2. Katsuhiro Otomo fan 3. Akira fan (see #2) ."
