George A. Romero created what's now considered the "zombie". People tend to forget that before Night of the Living Dead zombies were of the voodoo variety (White Zombie,I Walked With A Zombie, etc). Land of the Dead is Romero's largest budgeted zombie film to date and took full advantage of the increase in finances (hiring name actors, large scale action sequences, etc). It's also the first one of the Dead films to have an R rating. If you're a fan of zombie films check this movie out.

I love zombie movies but this one gave me something to think about. Maybe they can learn or remember....and they are already dead so why shouldn't they be able to walk under water. So now we won't even be safe on an island.....pretty cool movie!

I am such a fan of zombie movies and this was a great one to add to my collection! George Romero is a great director of this movie. The plot was awesome and the effects were pretty cool. Is there a Land of the Dead 2?

"I liked all the other movies in George Romero's "Dead" series. My main complaint with the movie is the intelligent gas attendant zombie. Why? Because the notion of the intelligent was done before (and better) in Day of the Dead. Bub (the zombie in Day) has been worked with over time with Dr. Logan, when we are given no explanation for the gas station zombie's intelligence. I liked a lot of the movie other than that, but I cringed whenever he was on screen. It ruined the movie for me."
