Movie Reviews

A great but slightly unusual workout
foodlover | Pasadena, CA | 12/06/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I'm a fan of Gilad's workout tapes, but this workout is a bit of a departure from his Hawaii-based tv show. First of all, it takes place in Jerusalem (Gilad is originally from Israel) and the aerobics is choreographed to a live Israeli band. There are some cheesy elements to add "character" to the scene like a man on a camel and a pretty Israeli girl dancing traditional dances while Gilad is doing his routine. If you don't mind that, overall, it's a strong cardio, high-impact workout composed of relatively uncomplicated moves and a substantial amount of abdominal toning. One of the highlights of Gilad's style is that he makes his show a family affair --- the older woman working out behind him and keeping up quite well with Gilad is his mother. You can see him asking her when she accidently dances in the wrong direction, "Mommy! Where are you going?!""
Prepare to sweat!

"This is an amazing DVD, I'm a huge fan of Gilad's Body in Motion program since I was a teenager, and I `m so happy that they are now available in the DVD format, it makes everything so easy. This DVD includes: a general warm-up, toning exercises (and believe me they really tone your body, especially the arms and legs), Aerobics (with low and high impact moves), floor work (hips, abs, thighs and buns) and finally the cool down. I really like to sweat a lot and feel the burn and I get it doing this exercises. I recommend this DVD."
Great Workout!

"Love this DVD. The aerobics segment lasts 25 min, and is both high and low impact. The abs segment is GREAT! Makes mine feel the burn everytime."
Great when Getting Started

"This program is great if your new to working out or just haven't done so in awhile. I discovered Gilad on television a few years ago on his daily workout show (I think on Discovery channel)and he aided me in losing 30lbs. The dvd is easy to follow without being boring. It is especially great for men who are not really into frilly dancy workout steps. Each movement is done with a purpose and you don't need to be a trained performer to catch on. Its great music and high energy. Gilad and his crew do several wardrobe changes and the scenary is gorgeous. Definitely worth having if your ready to start a daily workout routine but don't know how."
