Member Movie Reviews![]() Reviewed on 7/22/2014... Gave two stars because I've seen worse but I've also seen much better transfers then the 5 movies included in this set. Not going to review the acting, storylines, ect. Will leave that to others. What I am going to expose is that the other reviewers seem to be sight impaired. All 5 are second-rated dupes mastered off of other distributor's copies. Will not be requesting any more Pop Flix releases any time soon. 2 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
Movie ReviewsGunslinger Gundown C. Dunn | New Albany, IN | 12/01/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "This two-disc set was a pleasent find. There are five films in this collection: "If You Meet Sartana, Pray For Your Death", "I Am Sartana, Trade Your Guns For A Coffin:, "Blindman", "Run, Man, Run", and "Strangers Gundown". If You already own "Spaghetti Western Bible Volume 2: The Complete Sartana Saga" then yes dear reader, you would be duplicating the Sartana films. "Run, Man, Run" has been released already via Blue Underground (with a nice vintage) Spaghetti western Documentary. However, "Blindman" has not been released. Even more so, "The Strangers Gundown" was released by VCI and is now long out of print and going used for no less than $40.00 at the moment. This set is a worthy investment indeed. *side not* However, the print of "I Am Sartana, Trade Your Guns For A Coffin" is full frame only (as it is on the Sartana Saga)." Pretty good compilation.. Dellamorte | 05/18/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "I've become addicted to Spaghetti westerns. I've been picking up the Spaghetti Western Bible series, and saw this in the suggestion tab. Since it was only 6 bucks, I thought I'd check it out. Glad I did - this set is pretty good overall if you like these kind of films, but is worth it just for 'My Name is Sartana - Trade your guns for a coffin'.
In my opinion, one of the most entertaining westerns I have ever seen. Pretty good picture quality for one of these compilation sets - a couple look like they were mastered from a laserdisc or DVD rather than the usual medium quality VHS transfer you get when you buy a multi movie set. Highly recommended for fans of the genre." |
