Movie Reviews

Great nostalgia

"A gem of a disc. The Louisiana Hayride was a starting point for many country music legends, and this program gives us a detailed look at some of the monumental figures who got their start here. It takes us back in time to a simpler place, and the idea behind this show is to provide details about the Louisiana Hayride, and what it meant to music. This is not about the artists, it's about the show/place. Overall, it's a wonderful program that'll leave you with a nice fuzzy feeling. Hank Williams Jr. narrates."
What a disappointment

"I was hoping to get to see some good vintage performances from some classic artists. Instead I seen lots of talking and a few short short snippets of performances. What a waste, I know somewhere there is archived film footage rotting away in a box somewhere. I could be watching that instead of watching a whole lot of documentary."
