Rethink Paganini ....
Yeung Kwong Fung | Hong Kong | 02/12/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the first video about Paganini competition that I (probably the world also) come across, and this is also the video that completely changed my view of Paganini's music, which I have been considering purely acrobatic. Now I regard the sheer technical demand of these extremely difficult pieces is a beauty itself -- I have never imagined these showpieces could be played that beautifully. I am equally surprised by the musical insight of the past competition winners. Their thoughts about Bach music and music being a medium of expression are particularly inspiring to me."
