"Trying to negotiate the great depression must have been very, very diffifult. Getting peoplt to go on camera and talk about their experiences must have been even harder.

Mostly shot in the midwest, we see a lot of footage of people suffering hard times like have not h appened in my lifetime. It's interesting that they seem to be tryin to put up a good front even though they are clearly starving or borderline homeless.

I got a good impression of what life must have been like back then and am glad that I live during a better economy."
