Great series of information for baseball--but take your time
Guy F. Airey | San Antonio, TX USA | 02/10/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Mr. Hudgens has made some quite good visual material for serious ball players, especially in hitting techniques. Everyone of us is slightly different, which is the way it should be. But the video explains this as fine, and moves on with some excellent illustrations. I thought he had some very good explanations for the correct approach to hitting and the "hitting mindset." He shows many drills and exercise techniques that will literally make you a better hitter-- but watch closely. This guy does not spout out that you need to lift weights or work hard to be the best. We know that already. He does not really mention that this hitter or that one is the best, which is good. What he does is break down the hitter's challedge, and explain to you on how to deal with it. It goes without saying, one needs to be in good shape, and he takes that for granted so as not to waste your time. Some of the visual illustrations are really good, so watch them and listen closely. Turn that volume up, and everything else OFF. Get out your bat, and practice in the room the second time you watch it. On the first run, just listen and remember all you can. There are some very important little details you will pick up here and there, that you need to know. He has most of them in there. Because the series is long, some guys I know tend to "breeze" through them, missing much of the "little stuff" that is so important. They want to watch the entire series in one sitting. Do not do that in this case!! Watch it the first time, like you were learning how to be a CSI NY or something. And don't run through all of them in one day. Take your time, say a period of 3-4 days with a one-on-one coach situation so you can pause and ask questions. This is a great series and very much worth twice the money he asks for it. Patience is very important with this product though. Some of his demonstrations are fantastic. Play them on slow motion. Then again, do that over and over to burn it into your hitting mindset like I mentioned before. Listen and you will learn. I wish I had thought of this idea. Great product. guyairey"
