Character Profile: MOSS lives with his mum, who also dresses him, styles his hair and buys his clothes. He's highly intelligent, scared of spiders and has the social skills of a serial killer. The closest he's got to a woman is Lara Croft, and he struggles to communicate with anything that doesn't have a keyboard. Richard Ayoade is best known for his work alongside long-term writing partner, Matthew Holness, as co-creator of the Perrier Award-winning Horror writer Garth Marenghi. He went on to co-write and direct AD/BC, a Christmas rock opera for BBC3, and starred in Chris Morris' Channel 4 comedy, Nathan Barley. JEN played by Katherine Parkinson, knows nothing about IT, she only got the job because she said she had extensive experience of computers like using the mice, clicking, double-clicking, and that thing that goes on the floor... the er hard-drive? As well as being their line manager, Jen is Roy and Moss' agony aunt, relationship coach and guru about life outside the basement. Not that her life is going particularly well, it's just better than theirs. Katherine studied Classics at Oxford before moving to LAMDA, where she first met Chris O'Dowd. She left the course early to star in the play, The Age Of Consent. Her TV credits include Casualty, the Julie Walters drama, Ahead Of The Class, and more recently she played Pauline in the comedy drama series Doc Martin, alongside Martin Clunes and Joe Absolom. ROY - played by Chris O'Dowd is a laid back, lazy IT engineer. The smiling face of the I.T. Department, Roy's spiky personality ensures he'll always be kept away from the "Normal" people as long as possible. He's the king of the basement, indulging his love of comic books, fast food, computer games and random arguments with his best friend, Moss. Chris O'Dowd's biggest claim to fame is his collection of Yorkie wrappers - over 1,000 at the last count. Outside of his passion for hearty chocolate bars, Chris has appeared in Mike Leigh's Vera Drake, Red Cap and the award-winning docu-drama, The Year London Blew Up. Back home in Ireland, Chris also starred in two series of the RTE-produced drama The Clinic, as well as in the drama Showbands alongside Kerry Katona.
