"If you like the genre of piano trios, or if you like Brahms's chamber music, do not wait any longer to buy this DVD. The playing by Stern, Rose, and Istomin is marvelous. The filming and sound are both of high quality. I will just mention that EMI Classics has now (November 2007) released a 2-DVD set of the same musicians performing the complete Beethoven piano trios. You should buy that also!"

"I'm a great fan of Brahms' chamber music. Here we have his three pian0 trios, beautifully performed. I was pleasantly surprised that, for a farly old recording, the sound and color were of as high quality as anything done recently. Of course the artists are top-notch Irv Grossack"
