I never had the chance to acquire LaserDisc, nor the VHSs of either concert, so having them together here is a plus. The video quality is good without being exceptional - not too much difference from A&E cable years ago. There's a "being there" quality to these concerts. The music making is top-notch with chorus, orchestra, musical leadership and arrangements that are light years away from the typical embarassing big opera star holiday concert on video. Madame Norman is at the prime of herself vocally, emotionally involved, and musical throughout. It's nice to see Notre Dame again, even on video. I attended a Sunday organ concert close to the Christmas Holidays years ago, and I'll never forget it."
