Like father ,like son.

"I'm a blues loving guitar player and would've given this dvd 5 stars except for 2 things : 1.- The show is 60 minutes, far below most concert tapes and 2.- The last song is cut before the end and unfortunately Bernard was playing some smoking slide.
Now for the good news, Bernard can pick, slide & sing just as good as dad. The photography & sound are great, Vol. is way up compared to other concert dvd's I own, probably the loudest in my collection. (50+). There's only 1 lackluster tune out of 7. The mix is very well balanced for a blues band with a horn section (trumpet & trombone) and keyboard, which incudes a B-3. A very watchable concert that only disappoints in production not musicianship."
Deja Vu all over again!

"I was at this show and most of the performances at the festival in Henderson that year. Bernard did his dad proud that night and has every time I have seen him live. His dad was one of the best people to see live that there was. As the reviewer said earlier, this is a fairly abbreviated disc, but still well worth the price. Bernard smokes through most of the set and does a tribute to Stevie Ray and Albert King. The production quality is excellent, and unlike a lot of concert video, most of the time you can actually watch Bernard play as opposed to the often seen strange angles and "Up the nose" shots. If you like to watch a player play, this is a good disc, very much like SRV's Live at El Mocambo."
