Contrary to description, I would argue that calling Liquid Sky a sci-fi film is like calling Gone With the Wind a War movie. The 'aliens' are never seen other than their small saucer, and they really are not much more than a plot vehicle to advance a story concept that deals much more with gender bending and sexuality than science fiction. So, depending on the type of movie you want to see, this might be very interesting to some viewers, but I doubt this will be the case for sci-fi fans. The film description claimed this was a punk sci-fi movie, but it was only New Wave style with a really cheesy soundtrack that sounded like it came out of any given 8-bit Nintendo game from the 80s. I have no idea what they thought they were doing in the club scene where the girlfriend does her performance, but it was pretty bad (and I consider myself quite schooled in punk and new wave). I'm sure the movie was edgy in the 80s, but it hasn't aged well, and I think the subject matter easily pales in comparison with movies since this one. Again, the movie may be considered a classic in some circles, so my opinion is strictly from a sci-fi (and punk music) standpoint.
