Movie Reviews

Piazzolla with power!
LaMonte Heflick | Chicago | 04/25/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Astor Piazzolla, Fernando Suarez Paz, and Pablo Ziegler (and bass player Hector Console) rock the stage. This is powerful music. I would have loved to have been in the audience for this great performance. I am now a die hard fan of Piazzolla and his Tango Nuevo."
Great performances, defective DVD

"This is Astor in his later years, a "must have" for Piazzolla fans. But the copy I bought here hangs up on a disclaimer screen at the beginning and won't continue. The only way I can view the first segment is to go to #2, then rewind. Frustrating, someone dropped the ball in production. My player is an older Sony, but has usually been very capable, so I think it's an encoding problem. Be aware!"
