Some mildly clever scriptwriting degenerates into Hollywood-style meathead action. Palance does not get much chance to use any of his trademark mannerisms, and he leads a group of the most worthless gangsters in history. For that matter, one wonders how this Scarface character managed to become the most powerful Don in Rome - he is incredibly naive throughout. Perhaps this was intended to make the 'Starsky and Hutch' lookalikes in this move appear that much cooler and smarter. It doesn't work. "Starsky" manages to use a shotgun in such a way that it appears nigh unstoppable in any armed conflict - in multiple scenes, a single blast from this weapon can make cars explode into fiery balloons, or shoot twice without pump action required! Indeed, this powerful weapon need not even be aimed at the target to slay it, nor is the customary short range of shotgun weapons a disadvantage - he is easily able to hit targets at 150 meters away from slightly elevated positions. "Hutch" is so cool that even the worst of his half-baked plans like "let's lure them to the old slaughterhouse and bushwhack them there" go off without a hitch. And when he fires a pistol, he hits the target...every time...
Lest I make this movie sound like a must-see, the film quality is horrible, often changing colors with lots of visual 'noise', not to mention that the audio quality is also really poor. Other than a few amusing scenes, you'll probably wear thin before completion. 2 stars for cheesiness and a couple of interesting script ideas.

"Its not perfect, the picture isn't dvd quality because of the age of the movie I guess, its weird there not being more music in the background, but I thought it was ok. I thought there was a plot unlike another review said, its not worth paying a lot for, but if you can find a cheap copy like I did it might be worth looking into, I only paid a dollar for mine so if you cant find it too cheap dont buy it expecting a modern day special effect, musical score, and acting status movie, remember it was made in 1976 when thinking about getting it."
I like Jack Palance a lot, But this movie was no good

"A gangster is killed by a rival mobster [Jack Palance]. Years later, His son goes looking for the man that killed his father. This movie was no good. Acting is bad, The action is boring, The fight scenes are very bad, And the story is just too predictable. This italian gangster movie doesn't even deserve to have a talented actor like Jack Palance as its star. This movie isn't worth owning, Even if it is now a bargain title. Hope the review helped. I'm out"
