A decent volume in the Gundam Seed Destiny Library

"First off, the production value of this DVD is significantly higher than the last disc. There are no blips in the mastering like we saw in the volume 4 disc (a sync issue in volume 4's first episode crashes my x-box's DVD player). Also of note is the bulking up of extras (one new trailer, a brief music video, and character profiles). These are welcome additions to what has been pretty sparse offerings in prior discs. The menus look slicker and overall are more creatively done.
As for the actual episodes, a more-than-usual amount of battle animation is reused, especially with the second episode really being a "clip-isode". Actually, there really isn't any new combat until the middle of the fourth episode in the set. The bulk of the time is spent on Shin's character development, and the girls fighting over Athrun's attention (which had more than a couple hilarious moments).
Overall, this DVD is a significant improvement over volume 4, although volume 1 is still easily my favorite (can they top the Armory 1 battle?) Volume 5 won't satisfy any cravings for serious Gundam combat, but there is enough going on off the battle field to keep Gundam fans happy."
Good but not what I expected

"This is the 5th DVD in Bandai's newest Gundam series, Gundam SEED Destiny. Unlike the first four discs this disc is not full off the intense fighting that iscomman in Gundam shows. These episodes are used to develop characters, and build the base for the remander of teh series, including creating a few new relationships."

"excellent series so far. the only problem i had with it was that the second episode was just a recap of what happened before.."
