A lot of interesting information about the Great Sphinx. And the controversy between Egytologists and geologists about its age. Legitimate points on both sides, but a seemingly very immature attitude from the Egytologist when presented with reems of data reviewed by hundreds of geologists. Then it gets loony with the face on Mars thingy.

Great DVD

"Very well done. I dont want to give much away, but as a documentary goes, this one will keep you interested. I believe in what this dvd is getting at in the end, 100%. Theres more research on this subject out there, thats being snuffed out by gov scientist because theres something under the cover they do not want to get out. Watch this, and youll see what I mean."
Mystery of the Sphinx

"Thought-provoking discussion on John Anthony West's theory that the Great Sphinx of Egypt is considerably older than orthodox Egyptologists claim. Though outdated by more recent findings and philosophies today, it is still a good introduction to West's claim that the Sphinx was carved perhaps 10,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age, when no-one was supposed to be able to do that. Using paleoclimatology, police forensic techniques, modern (for the time) seismology, and even the psychic predictions of Edgar Cayce, the magnificent Sphinx here develops a different tone of importance - of the distant past, well before the Pyramids were built, and the future, when ancient records of an antediluvian civilisation may at last come to light.

Some of the documentary may seem sheer quackery to some - the idea that high-energy sound was used to levitate the enormous stone blocks of the temple, or a "Hall of Records" to be found under the Sphinx's front paws containing Atlantean artifacts that link to the Face on Mars - and not enough coverage is given to the opponents of West's theory to make a valid case, as it were. But most of the science is believable, and the views of the Giza monuments, though familiar to most, are here breath-taking."
Fascinating

"this is an expose of the most recent theories on the age of the sphinx and the civilization that built it --- once i saw this documentary and began to watch another show on egypt i quickly turned it off because it was made up of the staid and generally accepted theories of how old the sphinx and the pyramids were and how they were built --- whereas this dvd shows you a fascinating and utterly believeable alternative to that..."
