A nice, quirky independent film. Watched it twice. It's not hilarious, but there are some funny situations.

Emma Stone shines here, and Jeff Daniels does fine as an oddball author with a serious case of writer's block. As to Lisa Kudrow and Ryan Reynolds in supporting roles: not funny to me (as always), but tolerable here.

There's also a little twist concerning a certain character that you may or may not see coming.

3.9 stars for the genre (indepedent drama/comedy with extra quirkiness), or maybe 3.3 if judged against drama/comedies as a whole.
