"Ok, I have no idea what Ms. Wienecke was talking about. I love a good, detailed, in-depth story as much as the next person, and I found it with this show.

True, most of the show just tells about how the Puchi Puri (the five candidates) go through their jobs and work on strengthening their hearts so one of them can become the Platina Princess, but there's so much more to it. If you're a cursory glancer you won't notice, but when you actually pay attention a whole new world is opened.

You fall in love with the characters as the show progresses. You laugh at the babysitting job and Gurenda's eccentric father (what a devil!), you gush at the cockily sweet Arc, and between Beth's motivations and the truth of the Eternal Tiara you'll be balling your eyes out.

I've seen this series many times already, and it just keeps getting better every time I watch it. If you're looking for a great story with a sucker-punching twist at the end, you'll want to check this show out. Yeah, it's fluff, but there are serious themes underneath it all. You just need to take the time to look and give it a decent chance."
I loved it...

"This is a very cute anime. It doesn't have as much depth as many other anime's, so if you are looking for something with a deep back story and all that, then maybe this isn't for you... BUT, Although I like all kinds of anime, I must admit, this one will lighten up your mood.

In the beginning you find out that Yucie is turning 17, but she is stuck in a 10-year olds body. You don't find out that reason until the end of the series. She sees the light of the eternal tiara in the castle and she is then selected to be a platinum princess candidate along with 4 other girls all of whom she befriends at one point or another. The process to become the platinum princess only comes along every 1000 years and whomever is selected to be the platinum princess is granted 1 wish. Yucie strives to achieve her goal so that she can become platinum princess and finally wish herself to be an adult at last.

If you like friendship, romance, courage, and a plot twist at the end that will possibly leave you in tears, then you will love this anime. But it is a bit young for some people. And the end kinda ticked me off just a little... lol.... But I won't spoil it.

I think that the animation is great, it somewhat reminds me of Sailor Moon in some ways, just better. And the plot behind it is cute. I think that this heartwarming series is a must-see for all ages."
Definitely worth watching

"I'm a father of a little girl. And let me get this out right off the bat: I think this series is something special.

Maybe it's because the series really focuses on the daddy-daughter relationship. Maybe it's because the characters are so dang funny. Maybe I'm just a soft-hearted pansy who shouldn't be admitting that he enjoyed a series obviously geared toward children.

But the truth is, I really enjoyed this show, and so did my wife. It was funny, it was intense and it was definitely "cute". And this is coming from a guy who loves martial arts, fast cars and bratwurst.

It's true: the series is not as deep as some others out there. It's a little juvenile in some places. There are a few holes in the plot. And the music isn't my favorite. But the great characters, fun story line and hilarious antics make up for it. And best of all, it has an ending that leaves you on your seat's edge and tugs at your heartstrings. Big time. I almost cried (don't tell my wife).

This anime is a very welcome addition to my collection, which consists largely of series geared toward teens and up. It's light-hearted, sweet and very well-written. If you can't enjoy an amine unless it's got blood, sex and a plotline that not even the director understands, you won't like it. But if you appreciate stories that weave values such as love, devotion, and friendship into a whole lot of cute and a whole lot of funny, Petite Princess Yucie is sure to become one of your favorites."
