I had expected it to be a serious, full-on action flick in the same vein as Ninja Scroll. I was mistaken. While the film is loaded with action and some of the weirdest ninjas I've ever seen, many scenes are played more for laughs rather than drama. This is another film that I would not recomend for younger fans. There is quite a bit of blood, some nudity, and a couple of the scenes involving the construction of the puppets are quite disturbing. Karimata took control of this art and made his own invincible army of puppet ninjas to take over the kingdom. Now, Rangiku seeks to use the remaining puppets her father left her to stop Karimata and his horde. With the illusionary tactics of Yasaburo, the two of them team-up to take on the evil puppets. This feature is a little short, but hot-dang it rocks! The action is fresh and quick and the animation is riveting. For a one-shot OVA, this is great!!!!!!!"
