Movie Reviews

Classic Comedy.
tvtv3 | Sorento, IL United States | 04/04/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Red Skelton was one of the great classic comedians. Other than the ailing Bob Hope, there aren't any other comedians living like Red Skelton. He was from an era of entertainers that have been lost from us forever. This DVD collection includes a small snippet from Red's "Guzzler's Gin" vaudeville routine, a trailer for the film PUBLIC PIGEON NO. 1, footage from Red's Emmy-winning television show, and an uncensored television rehearsal with Martha Raye. The DVD isn't very good picture quality. However, footage of Red Skelton is rather difficult to find and for around six dollars, you can't go wrong. This DVD is worth having for the Martha Raye rehearsal alone."
