Don't expect a satisfying concert experience from this disk. The performances are disappointingly perfunctory and a shadow of the inspired music found on those treasured early recordings. The sycophantic audience seems to make the performance seem even less satisfying. Well....maybe you had to be there. If you are a Roberta Flack fan stick to the audio recordings for now.
