Movie Reviews

My favorite one out of all the ones I own!
Gwenn Cosmis | the planet cosmos | 10/06/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I may only own three{thief of hearts, moonlight, and this one}, but I think I can tell which ones are the best.
As soon as I saw the subtitles for the theme song of saint tail, I thought it was going to be completely subbed, but fortunately, it was only the starting and ending songs of each episodes. I personally think the singing {even if it's japanese, which makes it sound alot better}makes both songs better, even if there isn't any subtitles for the ending songs. Also, because this movie is so good{I just got this movie five days ago, by the way off another site} and I've watched four times already{ or three times, but I think it was four}. All the episodes on this are so great.
Note: all these episodes can be found in the manga, but I'd still advise you to get these since there's a big difference between the anime and the manga. All episodes can be found in the volumes 1 and 2
Episode 8
Meimi loses tickets to a baseball game that she promised to take junior to in exchange for helping her in math. Not only that, but someone takes a pitcher's glove.
Episode 9
Meimi{she's the model} and her friend,Mikki, who's the designer, enter in a junior design competition. Just one problem: an "enemy" of Mikki's stole her design!
Episode 10
A man's aunt and uncle are keeping his jewel for themselves! And Rina tries to capture Saint Tail, but once again, she tricks her and junior. Very funny episode.
Episode 10
A school festival goes on at st. paulia's academy. Saint Tail must steal a roll of film before it's exposed in the school paper."
Now here comes the romance!

"This volume (the third) is the most romantic of the all of the volumes so far. Meimi's feelings towards Asuka Jr. whose always hunting after her alter ego St. Tail is becoming far more evident and he is also finally starting to express some feelings of his own, even going so far as to assert himself when she is approached by another boy. I love St. Tail, it is a lot less repetitive than Sailor Moon or even Wedding Peach and though I'm not in love with the dubbing I can live with it. If you want a basic plot line I'd look elsewhere because I just wanted to put in some general information from the third volume. Meimi has to steal back a: lucky baseball glove, a jewel unfairly taken from a man who was supposed to inherit it, a wedding dress design, and a roll of film. One for each episode. It's getting trickier for her now because of the new addition to the series, that annoyingly aggressive girl (whose name I can't remember) whose gotten a crush on Junior as well and wants to prove that Meimi is St. Tail so that she can win a bet with him and make him go out on a date with her."
Saint Tail is...well....a saint!!!
J. Reel | Avondale, Arizona United States | 01/28/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This DVD being the third in the series as of today, is probably(in my opinion) the best one so far. This series has progressed a lot since it's first release. Meime, who isn't your typical school girl is secretly Saint Tail( she's sort of a bringer of justice, or a modern day Robin Hood-stealing from the rich to give back to the poor what is rightfully theirs)From returning stolen jewelry to their rightful owners, or getting back artwork, she actually isn't really given credit for what she does, in fact her fellow classmate Asuka Jr. does. The reason? Well(see this is the only thing that is kinda stupid about this series) is that he is...yes... a detective!!!, and he's only 14 years old. He wants to catch Saint Tail and find out who she is, and during that process he has kind of gottan a crush on her, but he's just not fast or smart enough to catch her, but like I said earlier about Saint Tail not getting the credit for giving back stolen goods to their rightful owners is Asuka automatically has the police thinking that HE was the one that got back what Saint Tail was after(and the worst part is Asuka Jr, never tells his "police force" that it was because of Saint Tail). But Meime(a.k.a Saint Tail) doesn't seem to care too much, because alas!!! she has fallen in love with him. And now she's in a Superman situation..what do I mean by that? Well when it's daytime and she's at school( similar to Clark Kent at work as a journalist)she's unhappy because she wants Asuka Jr. to know that she is Saint Tail, because he is in love with her. And then when she fights crimes as " Superman" he's even more persistent to catch her. But this series is quite excellent, better in the sub version though, and very lighthearted. But the Manga version that this is based on IS better. Well I hope this helps and hope you enjoy this enchanting series as much as I do, especially the love story!!!!"
