Way above average drama with humor in just the right places, this is the story many of us face at some point in our lives! The parent who has "one foot in the grave" so to speak and needs more care than our busy lives allow must be placed where they can receive the best of care and live out their lives. That parent, being an abusive father in the past, can bring about mixed emotions when making that decision yet they were the parent and deserve proper treatment. Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney shine as the busy offspring with a burden bestowed on them that is life altering yet they do come to realize they actually care for this man (Philip Bosco) on his last few days of life. 3 of 3 member(s) found this review helpful.
