I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of the classic Sherlock novels in high school so it took a lot of persuading by friends to get me to watch this and boy am I glad said friends didn't give up on me, I love this series! If you're not a fan of the historical don't worry, this is a modern take on Sherlock that is full of mystery, gritty cases all while laced with humor and great back and forth chemistry between Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman). The first episode, A STUDY IN PINK, had me right from the start and I finished watching the entire season in two days and that's no small feat since each episode is 1.5 hours. I was thoroughly entertained throughout and while Sherlock definitely comes across as a bit of an arrogant (for lack of a better word) ass he grows on you. Definitely a show to watch and love!

"I found this series online one day and since then have watched all episodes twice, and the dvd went right onto my wishlist. It is fun to see a well done modern take on Sherlock Holmes that still feels true to the books. I cannot wait for more!"
