"So far as I'm concerned, Shirley Horn can do no wrong; and here she proves it once again at the Village Vanguard. So happy to have this DVD. What a pleasure!"

"This is not the greatest video in terms of any particular dynamic except that of the artist herself, Shirley Horne. She is there with a small band, a quartet if that much, in what might be no more than a pub. But, her style is ever-present and the mood is set in her own mellow style."

Shirley Horn is beyond great. beyond description. I have never known an artist capture such immediate and full attention whenever her voice is heard, no matter where and with whom. And her following and loyalty there
is generated and continues. This exceptional disc is as close to attending an actual Shirley Horn appearance in an actual perfect jazz supperclub setting. The cover charge for this disc is well worth the cost. Don't miss it. We all miss Shirley Horn, however this performance
captured live at the Village Vangard sure helps. Enjoy !!"
