Wonderful recollections from a Christian Singer!

"This is a very nice DVD featuring an interview of George Beverly Shea by Bill Gaither. It was done in 2007 on Mr. Shea's 98th birthday! He is very alert and full of life, telling wonderful stories with pretty amazing recollection of things that happened over 50 years ago, even down to remembering what street he was walking on when he was first presented with the sheet music to the newly translated " How Great Thou Art"! There are lots of songs usually with a story and then a clip of him singing it anywhere from the 1950's up to 2006! Some songs he just sits at the piano and sings for Mr. Gaither right there in the interview! He has a wonderful sense of humor that comes through on many of his stories, especially the song "When big Profundo hit Low C". I gave it four stars instead of five because it does lack some of the bells and whistles that most people expect from a professional DVD production nowadays. However it is a wonderful tribute to a faithful Christian man."
What a wonderful voice!

"It's hard to say anything negative about a DVD when it was a great idea and great story. The man- Mr. Shea- has a beautiful voice and a wonderful tesimony.
What didn't work was the video itself- the words did not match the lip movement through the whole thing. I found it very annoying.
Like I said hard to say something negative but that was bad!
His singing is worth the money though.
You will treasure this

"This is the most wonderful DVD! It not only features the amazing voice and talent of George Beverly Shea, but between songs he talks about his experience with each piece, some history and background. It's truly something you will be glad you purchased (and probably purchase copies for family and friends)."
