Member Movie Reviews David B. (EyesMalloy) Reviewed on 6/18/2015... This film is easily one of the worst, most shamelessly unoriginal horror films ever made. It's actually less of a movie than it is a tour of horror cliches. Seriously, every single cliche the horror genre is known and ridiculed for is layed out end-to-end and played for maximum absudity and predictability. I honestly think the director must have Googled "horror cliches" and then made a point to use each one he found in his film. Furthermore, to the younger crowd that may not be aware, Soul Survivors is a blatant rehashing of the 1962 classic Carnval of Souls. Though nearly all of the post-2000 horror remakes are pretty bad, this MTV-infused drivel takes the bloody cake. Unless you've never seen a horror film before in your life, skip it. It's 90 minutes you'll never get back. Still not convinced? It gets a 3.8 out of 10 on IMDb. Need I say more? 1 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
